I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Writing for Film & TV.
I've guided aspiring screenplay writers to success, resulting in scripts sold to major players like Warner Brothers, HBO, Showtime, Tri-Star, Fox, and prominent TV shows including Home Improvement, Roseanne, The Nanny, Xena: Warrior Princess, Person of Interest, and the new Magnum P.I. (to name a few!).
I personally have “optioned” two features, written several documentaries, as well as two award-winning books on Screenwriting: "Formatting Your Screenplay" and "20 Things You Must Know to Write a Great Screenplay."
I've penned articles for several national writing magazines and have worked as a Coverage Editor (AKA Reader) for agents and studios. In addition to my personal achievements, both myself and my students have garnered first place in esteemed screenwriting contests, secured fellowships, and earned recognition with multiple awards.
In my free time, I am a fanatic Atlanta Braves fan, love to read, walk, and to no one’s surprise thoroughly enjoy watching movies.
Seeing my clients, whether they know almost nothing about screenwriting or they’ve finished several scripts, be able to construct or rebuild their first scene and then re-write it and make it better, finish it, complete a script, enter and win contests and then sell their work, are some of the many reasons why I love doing what I do.
I look forward to helping your screenplay become a film playing in a theater near you.
